Literacy in Schools: the whys, whats and hows of supporting our students!

£29.00 (Inc. VAT)

Description

This seminar is aimed at professionals working with young people who have literacy difficulties. We will discuss the roots of young people’s difficulties in literacy. We will then explore why we need to know what is making reading and writing tricky for our students. Different support strategies, both academic and social may be needed depending on those causes. This session will give you a framework to reflect on learners’ needs within your own setting and help you to think about how you can creatively and effectively support them in their learning so that they can excel in their learning.
