This webinar, aimed at managers and leaders in schools, will give insight into the experience of staff members who have specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and the impact of those on individuals’ working life. I draw on my own experiences as an adult with dyslexia who has spent 15 years as a teacher in various settings, research and others’ experiences through to outline the challenges they have, as well as drawing out the immense strengths of those members of staff. Legislation and policies will be explored in relation to supporting staff members and technology/support strategies will be outlined. There will also be time for discussion after the session and questions are actively encouraged!
